Membership Benefits

New members receive a Welcome Pack of basic information about the Society and for the duration of their membership they will benefit from: -

  • Our award winning newsletter is posted out three times per year, with reports on our Members' Meetings, a free 'Can Anyone Help' section and many interesting articles.
  • Access to the Society's Research Centre with its comprehensive Library, the Society's wide range of Publications and our many other facilities in the centre.
  • Access to the Members Only section of this website where you can check and update your membership details and browse our collection of useful datasets.
  • Access to our Strays index
  • Use of our Research Assistance service. (Please see the note below)

Note: - We regret we cannot undertake to research whole family trees and that searches for living relatives are outwith our expertise and resources. Only one research query per member will be dealt with at a time and enquirers must await a reply before sending a further query.
