Agnes Erskine McIntyre died in 1854 in Broomloan. She was a member of the Anderston Relief Church. I know from probate that her husband John McIntyre died on 5th March 1835 but have never been able to find any other record of his death. In 1833-4 I think he was in Green Market. Can anyone suggest where Agnes and/or John might have been buried or how I can go about finding out? Thank you for reading this.

My 3x great grandfather, John McIntyre (1783-1835), was a gardener in Barony. His wife was Agnes Erskine (1785- 1854). There were several McIntyre families who were gardeners and whose sons were John William and Alexander. They seem to have all been related but it is difficult sorting out which family an individual belongs to and therefore which line to trace back. I'd love to hear from anyone else researching McIntyre gardeners in Glasgow.

Corway Family are often confused by transcribers as Conway. My GGGrandfather Richard Corway was born in County Dublin possibly Oldtown Westpalstown or Balyboghil in 1827 and Married Bridget Keogh she was born about 1837 in possibly Meath Ireland. I found the Catholic Church records for the parish of Skryne Meath and the first four of their children were Baptised there including my Great Grandmother Catherine Corway on Sept.30 1861.The other children were born in Dublin City. Thomas Joseph Corway was a clerk at Glasnevin Cemetery and I recently found that his Mother Bridget Keogh or Corway was buried there in 1870 aged 34 years. She died at 6 Upper Jane Place Dublin but her death was wrongly recorded as Bridget Conway 1870 Q2V7 Page 388.Richard died March 15 1908 at 3 Somerset Street Ringsend DublinAnyone with any information on this Family please contact me. My 3X great grandparents Alexander Murray and Janet Cameron with their daughters Mary and Catherine emigrated to Canada on the brig The Earl of Dalhousie in 1821. The vessel went down off the southeast tip of Anticosti Island in the Gulf of St Lawrence on Sept 6. All crew and passengers survived. Alexander was the son of stonemason John Murray. His youngest brother Daniel who died in 1893 at the age of 93 had a son John who was provost of Pollockshields in the late 1880s and then councillor of Glasgow from about 1890 until his death in about 1910. He was a drysalter and oil merchant in Glasgow. These two Murray families kept in touch at least until Daniels death in 1893.I would love to get in touch with the descendants of Councillor John Murray. According to his tombstone in the Glasgow Necropolis his descendants married into Grahams some of whom were senior military officers. I will be in Scotland in Sept 2017 and would love to meet any descendants.

My contact is a descendant of this John Clarks sister so has no information on my Rose White. I did have help from the NW Kent FHS and have found a birth record of sort for her but no name yet confirmed. Roses mother was Lydia Helen White no father listed but he was Jewish as Ancestry DNA testing shows I am 13 and my brother is 20 European Jew. Roses grandparents were James White and Jane Scott. Jane Scott was born in Scotland - likely Lanarkshire. Any help is greatly appreciated. My quest for my paternal grandmother has been a very long journey with a lot more to go. Thank you. All of my family folklore history points our origins to the Scott family from Greenock and I believe that my missing link is through James Scott 1720 son of John who established the ship-building empire at Greenock. His brother William and his descendants continued in the business while my James moved his interest sideways in to other fields. My proven link is a William Scott bc1737 from Portsea Hampshire with strong sea-faring background and I believe that this fellow is descended from or was the son of James 1720. I would love to hear from anyone who has done research on James 1720? Many thanks.
